Very nice family that owns the kennel. Offer to let you call any time for updates on them, definitely the best place at a good price.
If you need some place to take your dog for a day, over night, a week, THIS is the place. Ginger and her staff will LOVE your dog. Your dog will NOT be stuffed in a kennel and taken out for 30 minutes 4 times a day(in a kennel 22 out of 24 hours). No they will be in play rooms, outside in a play area, if it is hot and they like water, she has a kiddie pool, the staff will be on the floor playing with them and loving them. Your dog will go home very tired! It will be a good tired, because they have had so much fun. You say you need your dog groomed, well, Ginger and her staff will take care of that for you also! I seriously can't recommend this place enough. Price is reasonable, and with her living on property, she is never far away. They don't do this as a job necessarily, they do it because they LOVE the animals!
Everyone at Howling Hills is FANTASTIC! The best Kennel around! They always have your dog's best interest at heart whether you are boarding or just doggie daycare. Every time we go our bullmastiff Sampson is wagging his tail like crazy. Pricing is reasonable and your dog gets to play for no additional cost (unlike most Des Moines kennels). Its quite a drive for us to go - but we wouldn't go anywhere else. Paul & Tammy
